I can be reached at (760) 805-8038. This is a beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible that is ready to enjoy today. If you have been looking for a 57 Chevy ragtop, you know how difficult it is to find a good car at a reasonable price. This is one of them! How often will you get an opportunity to get a real California 1957 convertible at a decent price? It is a Los Angeles built car and has CA blue plates. The classic, American icon, arm out the window, cruise to the drive-in styling of a 57 Bel Air is undeniable and the beauty is only enhanced further with a convertible. It is most definitely an original convertible, not a hardtop conversion. The trim tag has the 1067D on it which authenticates it as a true convertible. It is a lifelong California car that has an excellent rust free body which is also very straight. You can take the car to a show the day that you get it. The deep red paint has a very nice finish. It was owned by the same gentleman for the past 32 years. I have pictures of it from the 1970s. It has always been garaged. The floorpans, frame, X-frame, and trunk are nice. The chrome and stainless are very nice. The car runs excellent. The 283 c.i. small block Chevy and three speed overdrive manual transmission have both been rebuilt. It starts right up the first time over and settles into a nice, smooth idle. You can hardly hear it run. The clutch and brakes are fine. Hurst floor shifter. The interior is like new and has been done in custom vinyl/velour using the original seats. The door panels were done to match and look great. The carpet is like new. I have the original radio for the car, but it is not currently installed. New tires mounted on vintage Cragar SS wheels. The white soft top is like new and still very white. The back window is perfectly clear. It is a power top that works well and goes down with the push of a button. I am happy to help out serious buyers in answering any questions that they may have. All in all, this is a great old Chevy that everybody loves. It draws a crowd everywhere you take it. It is not perfect, but it is very nice and priced to move. I am located in San Diego.
