Here's my first attempt at posting some photos of my car. As you can see, it's going to need alot of work!

I actually drove it onto the trailer.

Check out the hole to the right of the brake pedal - the flywheel came in for a visit.

An exceptionally bad running 305 backed by a saginaw 4 speed and Nova 2.73 geared 10 bolt.

I got the body off of the frame over the weekend and I'm getting ready to start installing my new one piece floor (Thanks, Gene!)

I'll try to post regular updates - I've got a kitchen pass for the next two weekends, so I hope to make some progress.

Regards, Jim

Great photos and comments. Progress photos and comments are a great idea. I'm going to move this to the Project Updates section, that way you can update it as you go along. Makes for a great section for people to follow your progress and others. Thanks.

Jim, good luck on the project.

I've got a 1 piece floor I've been staring at for the past few months (bought it from Gene). I am anxious to get started, but haven't yet found the nerve to start cutting!

Looking forward to your updates (and pictures I hope). I'd be very interested in how you brace the body.

Thanks,

Jay

Jim that looks like a fun project. Lots of work ahead but it will be well worth it when you get done with it.

Looks like a great project. Once you get the floors replaced, it will make a world of difference in your view of the car.

Why did so many tri5's have that steering wheel? It's the EXACT one that was in my Nomad when I bought it. :D :D

Please keep posting pics as you go. ;)

Man, that steering wheel was the bees knees back in the day:cool:. I could never afford the "REAL" wood wheel:(, so I always ended up with the black rubber one:o. Now i've grown nostalgic and put one in my model A:cool:.
Hey, does anyone remember when grant made those wheels in metal flake colors?:D

I`m with Rick on the wheel. Mine had one of those in the black plastic in it when i bought it in 1978. I would like to have one of the wood ones in it now i think.

The wheel is a trip down memory lane for me, too. My first car, a '69 Cutlass Convertible with a factory 4-speed, had one back in 1977. I used the steering wheel puller I bought back then to remove this one! This just reminded me of a funny story - I drove that car to the 1979 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals from Long Island to Indianapolis and during one of the stop and go cruises past a pretty large crowd, I tapped the horn. Well, the horn stuck. They were cheering me on as I stopped the car, popped the hood, and disconnected the horns. The guy in the Vette in front of me didn't seem too amused.
