Play in steering,and fluid leak

I have a 605 power steering unit in my 57, and it has play in the steering wheel 1 1/2 to 2 inches...it also leaks fluid from the top of the cover plate where the adjustment nut is located.. I have heard most guys replace them with a 500.. any good literature on how to replace this unit ? where to buy one, and cost of a new box ?

I have no "play" but do have an oozing leak. I have been just wiping it off every coupla weeks or so.

The 500 is a direct bolt in replacement of your worn out 605. If the 605 has flare fittings instead of o-ring fittings your existing hoses will work too. Send me a PM if you are interested in the best price for a 500 gear.
