I hated to strip my 55, but at least I got something else cool to drive while its down!!! Got casters on my rotisseri today. I got alot of guys from our local club(FLOATERS) coming tomorrow to help get it on the rotisseri. The bodyman I had lined up was a NO SHOW!!! Good thing I AM ONE! Replacing lower front quarter and ran out of wire in my mig! I got the blaster coming out saturday to blast the frame, core support, inner fenders, under floors, firewall, doorjambs, and inside of trunk. I have an upholsterer lined up for 2 weeks on my seats! If every thing falls in place it won't be down long. I am very glad I did mock up and drove it for 6 months! It should go together very smoothly. I went through 2 boxes of Ziplock bags labeling all the nuts, bolts, and screws! Should I weld some bars in the body for support? The body has very little rust. I do want to remove the doors. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/hafrod1/DSC03418.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/hafrod1/DSC03419.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/hafrod1/DSC03420.jpg

Haford, i am not the expert here but with your 55 being a hrdtp i would weld in some braces on the body JMHO.

you have really got some extreme progress going on there:tu should be very interesting to follow along on this task at hand:cool: keep us updated:tu

WOW!!!! You've got everything lined up and running pretty smooth. That Chevelle looks pretty darn nice too. Good luck on your 55 rebuild. I take it that you've got a bunch from the pond coming over to help. Have a great time and it should be awesome when you finish it.

Let the tear down begin. Yes i`d say also on the braces if the body is coming off the frame. And on your new daily driver, don`t knock it. I drove a Chevelle for my daily driver for a long time. And it is waiting in the wings for its rebuild.

That was much easier than I had thought Hafrod! Maybe the Pig will need to get it's pants pulled off here in a year or so. I will learn from your experience for sure!

Thanks for the heads!
