just thought i would ask if any of you can tell me a way or place i can check the numbers on afew motors to see what they are like this one i got has the oil tube on the front like the olds 350 rockets but afew people say its a 400 small block :confused: i also have one my cousin said was a intersepter my brother has a friend who said it wasn't so everyone says check the numbers but where i call the auto parts store they say they can't and well i don't want to get rid of them till i know what i want to keep :) any help i thank you for

Yep... gotta have the numbers... check on the top rear of the block and you should see something like 3970010. Then on the front passenger side there is a small pad that should have something like T12345CBT or something like that. Need both sets to really tell what the engine is and what it came in....
