OK, I can't seem to find the info I really need. I have a 56 BelAire. The project is a frame-off resto. The entire suspension, steering and brakes needs to be replaced. Does anyone know of a good "KIT" that includes everything I need.
I found this R&P kit from Eckler's. http://www.classicchevy.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=21%2D233&dept%5Fid=1828
Does it sound like a good deal or could I find something else for a decent price? I haven't been able to find a more complete kit. When I go back and add up seperate components and then try to add up time and labor, this still seems to be a better deal.

Also do you think this kit would work well with side motor mounts or should I retain the stock front motor mounts?

ChevyBill,
That kit comes with the left front motor mount for your steering pump. You have to use the left manifold that dumps troward the rear or CCI headers. They just came out with a new set part # 24-53 or 24-53c. Thay will clear all steering set ups and front or side mounts.

C.P.P. has some good package deals that appear to be good quality and price. It would be smart to stay with one vendor instead of mix-matching from one to another, should a problem arise.

Just my 2sense worth.

I would say if you contacted Gene at Starcityclassics (one of the sites vendors) he would probably build the set for you and get you a good deal on it in the process. Alot of people like him (I do) and he is competetive. He may have what you want anyway.
Just a suggestion.
