Has anyone made a rack and pinion from a later model camaro or firebird work in a trifive??? I work about 100 yards from a huge camaro firebird salvage and as I was walking through looking for a rearend I passed about 20 r&p setups... Anyone have an idea on what all would be involved???

I fab'd and installed a Camaro rack on the wagon and when I turned the wheel right the wheels turned left!!! The Camaros are front steer and the tri-fives are rear steer. So if you want to use the Camaro rack you have to redo the complete front cross-member. Good day, Henry.

So what's the problem? I'm sure you'd get used to it after a while! :D :D

Ah hA! I knew there had to be something, it would be way too easy and too readily available for that to work out...

I should add I used a 95 ish Caviler rack and machined the ends and made my own adjusters to connect to the 57's, good day, Henry.

I have a '98 camaro donor car and I looked and looked at the rack and thought there has to be a way but I couldn't see one, not with the stock front cross member tdi I never measured it but I'd say it's a little to wide anyway
