Greetings Friends!

Another major step was accomplished this weekend. We built a platform to put the body on and successfully removed the body from the frame and mounted it on the platform. The platform is mounted on rollers that help us move it around the shop when needed.

This phase will deal with smoothing out the frame. That includes taking off the original factory pieces such as the engine/trans mounts. We will spend some time taking out any dents or bent metal where needed.

We are waiting on parts next. Posie's 2" drop leaf-springs with new shocks, power rack & pinion, shock relocation kit, and Wilwood brakes with drilled and slotted rotors are all ordered (2" drop as well).

When all parts are here we will take what we need and have them power coated. Not sure of color any more. Now that decission time for color has arrived, I am freaking out worrying about how it will look.

For now, it is planned to paint the body Viper Red with the frame being a Silver/Grey of some kind. Again, not sure of this yet. Will take a close look at the color choices for power coating and hope it will make the decission easier.

Will have much more done by this weekend. Will send another update soon.

Everybody stay safe!

That's the way it's done. Carry on.

You are on target. It is a 68 Chevelle. Going through a slow restoration. I will try and remember to take a few photos next weekend.
