You can kind of see my quarter damage in this pic. It's just about the middle of the well and goes towards the back.

The lip is all messed up and doubt anyone can get it straightened out back to original.

I don't like the idea of the repro quarter patch panels and my buddy has 2 4 door '56 belairs I could probably snag that area off of. Weren't the 4 door quarters a lot shorter than their 2 door counterparts?

Or is from the damaged area, to the back, the same?

Dan, yes they were the same in that area. I just wonder how good of a job can be done patching in a quarter at the center of the wheelwell. A good bodyman can probably do it fine, but I personally don't think I'd attempt it.

OR

Try to get someone to attempt repairing the damaged area. It's pretty crinkled and flattened though.

I'd go with a full quarter replacement if I were you. It's not that hard on a hardtop, because the quarters are made for them. It will save a lot of work for the bodyman, and in the end it will probably cost you less. Plus, you'll love looking at the all new metal with no seams when it's finished ;).
