I have a floorjack that a friend gave me. Its a blackhawk 2 ton model sj18.ITS old, heavy and has fenders over the wheels. I was playing around with it and wanted to see how high it would go and it got stuckup in the air. Since i dont know much about it i cant get it to go down. any help would be nice.

There's often a screw release for the air and the bar that's used to raise the jack might be hollow and have a small cross piece in one end that can be used to turn the screw...just a guess. That's how my jack works. Look on the jack under the handle area to see if there's a screw type release.

It sounds like something is binding up and not letting it go back down. I`d start looking at every joint in the lift arm.
