250 trans to a 235 trans ?

Will an overdrive automatic transmission from a 250 straight six, bolt to a 55 235 ? I found a 250 with an auto trans with overdrive locally, but don't want to call the guy untill I know it will bolt to my engine. Any info would be great. Thanks. Jonathan

no it wont. the 250 has the same bolt patern as a 350 v8.

Thanks for the info. Its too bad, he is selling the engine and trans for 400 bucks.

You can get an adapter for the trans to mount to the old 6.
