I am 58 years old and have always had a tri5 in my garage.I have ownd at least 8 or more without the parts cars.My first 57 was a 2 door hardtop with two fours and a 3 spd and it was all factory.I was 17 and the car was not fast enough for me so I changed it around and messed it up.The 57 nomad I had for 14 years and in a stupid move I traded it for atwo year old Vett that I ony had a mouth or two before I sold it.I have two 57's That we got at the same time in a esate sale. They were both in stages of restoring all apart and needing it all.After7 years they are getting close to being on the road But never done always something to do.Phil

I AM 66 AND OWNED SEVERAL TRI-FIVE CHEVY CARS OVER THE YEARS. I CURRENTLY HAVE MY '55 2DR BELAIR H/T WHICH I HAVE OWNED SINCE JULY 1959 AND A '55 4DR 210 WHICH I BOUGHT A FEW MONTHS AGO. I ALSO HAVE A 1950 PLYMOUTH BUSINESS COUPE AND AN ORIGINAL '84 BUICK REGAL. I JUST ENJOY DRIVING AND TINKERING WITH THESE OLDER CARS. MY DAILY DRIVER IS A '97 CADILLAC ELDORADO WITH 78M MILES. AS MY NAME INDICATES I AM PARTIAL TO THE '55 CHEVY!!!

38 years old. I've been messing with and working on cars for a living since I was 14. Had a chance as a teen to build a '66 nova with my dad, but I was too pre-occupied with chasin tail and whatnot and lost that opportunity. I finally have a home with a garage that is bigger than my dad's garage:tu the opportunity is not going to pass me by again! I have always been a chevy II freak(got my first one at 13), but the story of tri-fives in my life goes beyond the womb. Dad and his buddy were painting a 55 nomad when my mom's water broke with me on the way in 1970. They stopped working on it to take mom to the hospital, and the car sits today just like it did back then with just primer on the tailgate. Man, I want that car.

I'm 33 and glad to see that some of the younger guys are into this hobby...that means I'll still be able to buy parts for when I'm doing this in retirement! :)

I'm 62, had several tri-fives over the years. This is the 2nd wagon, the first was a 55 nomad when I was a teenager. Then had a 55 2 door post, 56 2 door hard top,57 2 door hard top,and now a 55 sadan delivery. I built a 1940 Ford Delux Coupe street rod. I drove it for 12 yrs and traded it for the 55.

I'm 53....I've had my car since I was 18. It has been in restoration mode for the last 10 years. The goal is to finish her this year! Would have been last year, but, this job of mine changed things..............

It was the second car I purchased, the first being a '66 Chevelle 300 Deluxe.

I'm 50, I've had my 57 since I was 17, it was my first car. Did alot of things I shouldn't have done with it but young and invincible, any way I managed to keep her through a lot and now she's coming out of sitting for 20 years.

cruzn57,

Back when I was 13 or so, my dad and I had a 37 chev coupe we were going to restore, but it needed a lot of work, more than we were up to so we sold it. If I have a chance to do another car it would be a 37 chevy coupe.

I'm fifty nine and holding. I've owned three fifty six Chevy's. One sixty one Corvette, as well as three Mopar muscle cars. I was given the fifty six I have by a great aunt. So it's kind of a family thing that I restore it. As well as some nostalgia. If I ever come up with the money, I want another Mopar (64' Polara), to keep the Belair company.

I'm 53 (54 soon). I've tinkered with cars since I was a kid. We couldn't afford a mechanic so we did most everything we could to keep them going. I've owned my 55 since 88, my car and I were both 33 yrs old then, and I learned a lot about them ever since. Got a chance to by my 57 2dr ht in 96. Paid $1000. for a thousand parts, I think I got a good deal! The 57 is under construction and moving along slooowly.

I am 64, got my first 57 when I was 24, still have it. Had a 57 210 2DR HT and a 55 BA 2dr wagon and wish I still had them.
I gotta agree with MM57 about the Chevy Coupe, a friend had a 36 original and black, it was so sweet.
I also had a 41 Sedan Delivery that I wish I could relocate.

Thinking back about all the cars I have had I always had to sell the one I finished so I could buy the next project.I had a nice 57 2 door 210 yellow and white I bought from a old ladyreally liked that car and a budy had a 46 chevy hot rod pickup that needed work. I wanted to buy the 46 but I traded the 57 for it even .Then a guy at work that liked the 46 waned to trade his 66 GTO so his soon to be X wife could not get the GTO,She could not drive the old truck. That was a sweet deal. All this happen in one year 1970 .
