Hi guys
Will a 55 or 56 nose swap between both years? I am getting the 56 nomad wagon but it comes with out a nose . So I would rather have the 55 front sheet metal. :D

It will bolt right on. Be sure to get 55 everything as the inner fenders, splash pans, core support etc are different between the years.

The only problem I can recall is that the rocker pannel won't match up.

Thanks Mike
Thats great news, I had thought they might but no 100% sure . I would rather have a 55 at this point I have a certain look in mind . I thought I would remove the rear windows and turn it in to a sedan delivery . Im not sure it would lesson the value any .
Ken I don't have any pictures yet but I will when I go down to Rogers . It has been in his barn for a long time so its been out of the weather. Its funny all the times Ive been up there I haven't checked it out that close. Maybe if the weather is nice to us I will hook the trailer up and go fetch me a wagon.
I will keep you posted on this , I had planned to do an older custom but this will fit the forum so much better . :) Its not like some one had to twist my arm to go this route they make a great statement for a hot rod shop parts chaser . I recently aquired an 80's pick up with a big block drivetrain.
This will serve as a great power plant for the PRO-DELIVERY :D

Steve, it's going to be your project and of course you should build what you want, but please reconsider closing the side windows on a Nomad. They are getting harder and harder to find in any kind of condition.
Travis is correct about the rockers. The 55 has a concave rocker where the 56 and 57 simply curves down with the side of the car. But after seeing what you can do, reworking the bottom of the 55 fenders to match the rocker will be a snap.

Hi Mike
Funny you should mention that I was looking in the gallery and the onse with glass look great . Not to mention I could always Vinyl the windows with the shop logo . Also how can I be sure its a Nomad ?

The roof line is very distint. See photo below. All three year had the same roof.

Kinda figured that was the deal with the roof . I think I may have a 2 door wagon. Ahh well it will be a fun project anyway. :)

Nothing wrong with a 2-door wagon Steve. I know! straight axle gasser style?

Steve, this is the 55 fender bottom. Note the lip along the bottom. The 56 and 57 didn't have that. Theirs are smooth.

Look at my nomad to compare also. I have had a 57 150 2 door handyman and a 56 2 door wagon and they are just as much fun and will also allow you to do a bit more personalized customizing.:D

Steve this is one of the slickest modifieds I have ever seen. Started as 56, got a 55 nose and the 57 quarters. I'm trying to find some better pic's.

Hi Guys
Mike that is a sweet looking ride , I like the changes it makes the rear quarters blend to the eye and smooths out the transition.
I did how ever find out my future ride is in fact a 55 .
Otis that is a good point , very funny , but good point . :D
Somehow I missed these last few post or would have replied sooner.
Thanks guys
