I've been looking around for a set of horns for my 57.....you've got to be kidding! They want a "ton of tunas" for those things, if you can find them at all. I talked to a guy that rebuilds them, but he won't touch anything before 1962. Anybody got any ideas? Hope I don't have to keep running those loud obnoxious air horns. My stockers are there but they don't work. There's nothing like the tone of 1950's horns:cool:

I have left several posts myself, asking if anyone rebuilds these, and have never received a positive response. I have non working horns as well for my '57. I have also sent e-mail to two places to see if they rebuild, but no response. I'd also like to hear from anyone who has ever taken theirs apart, to see if they can be fixed. John

I sent an email to Don's East Coast Restorations to see if he does rebuild horns or if he can recommend someone who does.

Thanks MIke. I think several of us would like to see if there are options out there for non functioning horns. Let us know what you learn. John

I have horns, they're in the trunk, someday I hope to install them and see if they work!

A member of our site has rebuilt horns listed on his business site.

That's a lot of smackers for horns! I have a couple spare pairs in the trunk, guess they're worth something!

The 57's look to be newer style than the 55/56.

I was out tf town this past weekend, when I got back I had an email from Don that he did not restore horns, nor did he have any recommendations.
Just thought I would pass it on.
If I hear anything else I'll post it ASAP

I guess if you were not going to go stock, I like the sound of the Cadillac horns.
I also like the crazy loud horns, but I think I would get into trouble if I one of those.

Put in a set of air horns and let them know you're there.
