For those of us who store our trifive for the winter, when will your trifive be on the road?

My wagon is all ripped apart right now.
I'm prepping for paint, polishing stainless & sending all the chrome out to be re-done this week.
I'm laid off right now so I'm hoping she'll be done & ready to go by mid May.

I put ASAP, I had mine out and drove to work, it was so cold out it ran like crap, didn't want to warm up enough for some reason. At least I got mine out before the other guys at work that have "classic" cars.

It's snowing today:(

What I like about the South (Tennessee) is that you have days all year that you can cruise. GO VOLS

Unfortunately up north we have to store our trifive's for the winter. At lease I have some time to work on the chev without missing a car show. :) But I do get withdrawal from not driving my '56. :(

Up here in the north country I get out as soon as the roads are clear and clean . I've had the car and the Harley out 3 or 4 times already! Got to... the season is short enough

Hi, I usually get out of the warehouse on April first week. I ride this W/E and figure that the car needs maintenance before car show events. I always love Heaven riding my Hot 57.

Installing a fresh 355 engine. It's currently all ready to go and resting on a "run" stand. The timing and carb have been dialed in and it sounds great. It will be dropped in as soon as I finish repainting the engine compartment, installing a new master cylindar, steering box & firewall pad. I'm hoping for Memorial Day weekend. Fingers crossed...

I just waited until the salt was washed off the roads by rain to start.

Never took mine off the road, just got it out when I felt the weather was nice enough, (Eastern NC has great weather)
I hope to have it back soon as I just dropped it off to have the body etc. stripped and painted.

I voted by "June 30", but I've been saying that for the past two years... however, this time ;) I'm determined this is the year I'm going to make it happen :D - life's too short - gotta get it done and go cruizin'...:tu:tu

I live in Columbus, Ohio and we generally have some pretty nasty winters here.tdi My 55 is kept in the garage and always ready to go:D. The only thing that will keep it in the garage is if the roads are wet:(. Small problem with traction. OK maybe if it is too cold, the throttle plates on the carbs get stuck:eek:. Don't need cruise control.

I voted ASAP but this will be the last summer for a few tdi after Sept. 1st I plan on tearing the car apart for the frame off resto. Probably be 3-4 years (hopefully) before it gets back on the road.

However when its completed, it should turn a few heads :D:tu

The city usually has the streets swept of all the sand they put down in the winter by the 15th of may..then its clean from rockchips for windshields and paint:)

I've been draging my feet about putting my car away for the winter. It didn't rain yesterday for a change so I went for a little ride after work. I've got a few small upgrades planned for this winter so I should put her to bed and get started. Soon, very soon!

The 56 goes into storage tomorrow afternoon and will come out some where around the 1st of April. I would like to see it rain a couple of times so that all the salt dust has been washed off the road.

I would love to be able get my '57 out of the garage. But, I can't, not this year anyway. I have a lot of work to get her up and running and moving, oh yeah and stopping too. I am hoping that maybe, if I am really lucky, I may have it on the road by 2012 or 2013. Unless I can win the lottery, (wait, I need to purchase those tickets, don't I? If I buy lottery tickets, I won't have the money to buy parts).

I put ASAP as there wasn't a question that really fit. Mine goes to church every Sunday that we go year around when it isn't raining. No storage here, what's winter, 70s yesterday, 30s tonight and back in 60s & 70s next week!!!:D
