I probably haven't worked on a model since 2000. You think all the glues and paints are still usable ?
I'm also looking for 1/25Th 348 or 409 engines for a model car. < Upadate: Found a 60 Imapla kit today that has what I was looking for.

Only one way to find out.
If I built a model today, I'd try to chrome the trim using the silver leaf kits found at the hobby shops.

Sometimes if the paints are dried out you can bring them back to life with a little thinner. The glue usually lasts a long time.

I've been building for years, check out a few I have in my photo album.
I have so many extra parts, I can check to see if I have the 409 somewhere.
I am sure I do.
I know I built several 58 Chevys that had the 409 in them.
Any parts you think you may need, just ask, I will check.
I am currently working on a 1/25th scale scene of an old style garage and a diner across the street.
There will be about 10 to 15 cars and trucks in it. I want to put it under glass on a 3/4" sheet of plywood, and highly detailed. I have a lot right now for it. I need to start building the buildings.

Thanks for the offer. I picked up an Impala kit that had a 348 engine.
