Like most of you, I enjoy going to car events or cruse nights, or just out with the wife and the car to "enjoy the drive". But whenever we are at a show, one of my peaves is that D#%n participant judging. Is it just me or are there others who would rather the judging was done another way. I do very much enjoy the "Judged shows" but they are hard to find. I learn a lot at judged shows about how my ride compairs to others and about how others see my car? Either way I mostly enjoy meeting people with the same interests. Always fun!!

Thanks GLS

yea,i know exactly what you mean, participant judging turns into a popularity contest, which always gets me,if you have a passion for cars shouldn't you be judging the car and not the owner, even if it's a class i'm not familiar with,i'll try and talk to the owners and educate myself and make a decision from there.i think alot of the clubs that put on shows have become lazy,or they don't have a knowledgeable enough staff to have a judged show.my favorite show i use to attend was an actual drive up judged show, you park where you wanted with your buddies and when you were ready you drove your car up to be judged, but as you stated pick the shows you want to attend, and just enjoy the day with your friends and meet new people.that's why i think cruise nights have become more popular no hassle, and you don't have to wait around all afternoon for a plastic trophy!!!:tu
