Tough one....I know you meant one year but if it was up to me it would be all three Trifive years. That way I could enjoy brand new Trifive Chevrolets & be the happiest man on earth! Pure Heaven in my book.

I would choose 1955. Just imagine to start 1955 and living those years ahead. All the development, all the positive things. Of course it was hard work for most people but nevertheless a fantastic time. What a dream  :)

I would have to say 1964 because I was loving my first love and driving my first 56 and vise-versa;) I'm so fortunate to have been born in 1945 and growing up to see those wonderfull cars as the latest detroit had to offer and wonder in amazement at just how did they ever think they were going to improve the next years model.... That would depend on whether I would go back knowing what I know now, or knowing what I knew then.
I remember looking at used cars for sale in some car magazine, likely around 1970. I was about 14 or 15 years old and there was these strange AC cobras for sale for 8-9 grand. I thought who would pay that much for one of those when you could buy a Vet for less money.

I dont think I would go back to an earlier time. I wish I would have made some different choices in my life, but we all live & learn. Of course I would love to re-live life with the knowledge of what I've seen & learned over the years....kind of like the opposite of my quote at the bottom. :coffee:

I would like to go back to the early to mid '60's with my '55 and raise some
you know what. And would like to see my mom [who passed away 2yrs ago] and convince her to quit smoking, and to drag race my fathers '55 210 tudor. It was a dark green with Magnum 500's and had a 365hp 327 crate engine in it and a Muncie 4 speed. That would be fun to see my parents in their heyday as young adults. If I had another choice it would be the late 70's and early 80's when me and my brother were just kids and life was good,no bills,no job to be at,no nothing to turn our hair gray and just be kids again.

One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't take advantage of getting to really know my Dad. Would have to do that pre 1970. But am enjoying my life right now alot, being Semi Retired and am able to finally spend some time doing what I want to ....................

I barely survived the first time around but if i had to pick a year it would be 1966. I had a 55 chevy and met the love of my life. BTW sold the Chevy and broke up with the gal but we are still best friends all these years later.

I would have to say 1941 so I could survive the war as a decorated AIrforce pilot who had stories written about him and was a legand to be looked up to. Then I could live through the start to the finish of the Rock'n'Roll era. Then I could die a happy man.

62-68 I was in mid-teens. Great cars and muscle cars. You stayed glued to the TV commercials waiting to get a glimpse of the first pics of the new models coming out each year. Plus Tri-Fives were already very cool. A lot of memories seeing other other guys get cars ...that I COULDN'T HAVE!! I guess that's why I'm a car guy now.

I feel the exact same.
My baby girl and my wife make these the best years for me. The only way I would go back is if I could take my little girl and my wife back to meet my Grandmother, she was the center of my life when I was a kid.
The little Coral and Gray '55 in my avatar is a tribute to
my Grandmother's '55, it was her favorite car she ever owned.
BTW, my birthday is March 30th, too. :)

Line from 'The Boys of Summer': "...don't look back, you can never look back"! I know this is just a sort of mental exercise, but I'd say that works for me. (sorry to be a wet blanket)

I'd like to make several stops.
1941. It'd be something to know my dad then. I'd tell him to buy a factory manual for the Merc and get more on the Stude trade.
1955, Dublin. My mother grew up in Ireland and told me stories how she was always late for the morning bus. I'd buy her an alarm clock and let her wonder who that was...
And to meet my grandmother who was so worried my mom would marry Tony. I'd tell her "she doesn't, she's only going out with him for his car. She's going to marry a Yank with 5 cars."
60's and 70's. I'd've paid a lot more attention in the garage.
1974. I'd tell my dad NOT to sell his '34 for $600, he'll get 50K for it in 2005.
1977. I would not have tried to cross that highway, so I wouldn't have hit that truck with my 10-speed.
1994. I wouldn't have gotten married.
2005. Sold everything else and bought metals.
2011. Sold metals and bought another car.
Go back and live through all this crap again??? No way, I'm ready to check out...
