View Full Version : Looking For '55 4 BBL Intake

I am looking for a '55 4 BBL Manifold. My '55 wagon came stock with a 2 barrel that I want to swap to a 4. I have the carb and air cleaner but need the intake with the temp sender hole back by the distributor so I can still use the stock sender unit.

Good luck. They come up on Ebay every week or two, but they are not cheap.

If you look to the top of his post,you will see that he did post on/in the classifieds.On the main page,if you look to the right you will also see that he posted in/on the classifieds.
We have 2 seperate classified sections here.Posting on the one he used makes it come up here on "todays posts" page.Using the "other" classifieds One has to hunt for a post having a part that you need(or use a search).Personally I like this one better and quite often even forget to look at the other ads..

I'm interested in doing the same thing - changing my 265 from 2 to 4. Are there any other modifications that you have to make besides just swapping out the manifold and carb?

I have an original 4bbl intake from a 265 if that is what you need.Did you mean original?

There was one for $75 on Ebay last night, might still be available. That is a very good price for one.

I am also looking for a 4bbl intake from a 55, number 3711348 with a date of A_5 or early B_5 (car was made in March, so has to be earlier). I have an intake from June of 55, that if I can get an earlier one, would be willing to part with, if anyone needs it. Thanks, Jim.
