Well I got the frame back under the car and getting the front axle and brakes hooked up. Its been a long time since I had a car with drum brakes on the front end. I gave it a lot of thought disc or drum I know not to many cars had disc back in the day. And I like the look of the fined drums. Need to get some brake line, and line lock to start hooking up the brakes Ron

Dusty The front axle and springs are from 66 econoline I had the main leaf shortened by 8inches. I set the axle ahead 2'' to give it that altered look. thanks for the kind words its a fun project takes me back when building a Hotrod was taking old stuff and making it new. Sorry to say today if you dont have all the new products the car magazines are pushing your not with it. I just got my super chevy nothing but adds. Dont get me wrong there are lots of good venders out there. But it does feel good to go back to a time when my feeling about cars were the smell of gasoline, burning rubber, and sweet sounding exhaust and of course the bell to ring to let class out for the day so you could go make some memorys

No problem from the front eye to center bolt 22'' from the rear eye to the center bolt 20'' with a 5'' arc. 2 1/4'' wide. A lot of guys use speedway springs or Detroit spring will make you anything you want for around 400.00 not to include shipping. The measurements I gave are approximate. you can go to the Detroit web site and get a diagram on how to measure springs but that will get you in the ball park. Ron

Check out truck shops as some have the facilities to fab new springs. I had a main leaf made in spring shop in Rochester NY for my 5th wheel travel trailer, Henry.

I been working on my hood it was in sad shape but after a lot of stripping cutting and patching. Im starting to get attached to it ten years ago it would been on the scrap pile. Thats brings me to needing a hood scoop I checked around the net for a few days to find a steel scoop I could weld on with no luck. So I thought how hard could it be? This is what I have so far I think its going to turn out ok I will post more pictures as I progress. Ron

Hey I was watching this car on Ebay, I seen you had it for sale a little while ago. That car looks very nice. If I didn't already have mine I would have loved to buy that off of you! I am glad you are keeping it and finishing it, can't wait to see it done.

Thanks Scott I found a 55 utility sedan I had a chance to buy. But I can only have one project at a time. due to space and funds. So I thought about selling this project none of that happen so its full speed ahead on this project. Im the kind of guy that loves to have a project in the garage. And I like taking something with good bones and bring it back to life. Like I said befor its a sickness that keeps me going. Ron
