Need to know if the firewall is the same color as the exterior?

Just getting ready to paint my 56 Sedan Delivery and can't remember if the firewall was originally the same color as the exterior or if it was just semi-gloss black. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. :)

Same color as the exterior. At least it is on my 55 I just bought. It had been repainted red and white but the original color was green which is visible behind firewall attachments and on the inside of the car also.

Daves right. Body color. Lower color if it's two-toned.

I agree with MikeKy, and Dave, mine's original and painted same as lower body color..

On a '56 it is the same as the main body color on a 210. Not the lower color but rather the middle color. Same color in the trunk.

Not sure about the 150's and Bel Airs which have different colors (on the two tone models) between the front and rear of the car.
