Hello,

I'm a "newbie" to this site and just want to get aquainted!! I'm in the process of building a '55 (2nd Series) Chevy Pickup and, yes, I'm cutting it up somewhat and going PRO STREET with the build. I've boxed the frame, got a 9" Ford (Currie) rear with 4:11 locker, 540c.i. BBC w/ blower and (2) Holley 950's--dyno'd at 857hp & 811 ft-lbs torque--that should get it moving????? She's painted Corvette Millenium Yellow--just got the cab, engine & transmission mounted this weekend. Lots of work to go--hope I can ask some of you 'ol buffs some technical questions when they come up--I'd rather trust your experience than the guys writing the articles??

So, there you have it--this truck's been sitting in my garage for over 10 years and I finally got motivated to finish it this winter! Gotta have it running down the road this summer--can't wait to hear the "thumpity" of the big block!?

Thanks for listiening--hope to chat with you guys (and gals) soon!

Bob
