Looking for information on sheetmetal parts for a 56 convertible.I need front fenders , hood, etc., what will fit a 56 convertible? Where would a guy look to find what sheetmetal parts that interchnge with the convertible? I really don't even know where to begin, hoping for some information from our Tri-five group. Would old parts book show this kind of information?:confused0006: Thanks Mick

Mick, all the 56' cars are the same, as far as the front sheet metal goes. However the two other years won't work on the 56'. Note: There is no repo front fenders, inner fenders or hood. But your lucky, as there is more body metal made for convertibles, than the other models. :anim_25:

Auggie, thanks for the information, I didn't know all front fenders on the 56 chevy would interchange. I guess the only issue would be the trim holes, etc.I have started looking , not much sucess yet. You sure know you way around a Chevy car.:congrats: Do you know of any sites that I could check out? Thanks, by the way you have provided good information more than once for me. You are one smart guy, we less informed people would be up a creek without guys like you. Mick

Mick,
I have a 56 drivers fender with original paint that is almost perfect and passenger inner fender in same condition if interested? I can be reached at tfaryniarz@sbcglobal.net. Thanks

Since all the convertibles were BelAirs, you can get the front clip off of any BelAir and the trim will be the same. This goes for any model, including a Belair 4-door sedan.
