I have seen this before. If it had been me driving, I would likely have fallen out onto the guardrail just before the car landed on it.

I love seeing video of Tri Five's runnin'. The best part of that one is knowing the driver survived. Thanks for sharing.

I showed this to my daughter and she said that car was not put together very well. I told her that it is not made to do flips. This is a good video and has a good out come. Thanks for sharing.

HOLY $&%! I'm on dial up, so it took me 30 minutes to load! That guy was getting up while the car was still rolling! I'm glad he made it but DANG IT, there's another 55 taken out of the world! :( I cannot believe he got back in it after it got loose the 1st time! I bet he had a brown racing stripe in his underwear!!!!!!!! :D

I still think your daughter had a good point though,Kids notice the most obvious things that we sometimes over look. I dont think that car was put together very well either:rolleyes:

I saw the clip before and some one who was there said that the car was just thrown together and 1/2 a$$ed. If that were the case, "how did he get to run on the track"?

A car running a 12.30 et is not required to have anything past stock styled seat belts. A SFI rated shoulder harness and roll bar is not required in a car running as quick as 11.50 or 135 mph. Convertables 11.00 to 13.49. With the driver thrown out of the car and the seat launched into the sky, I would assume there were some mounting issues. As a SFI Certified Tech Inspector, it's hard for me to comment on a car that some one else inspected, but the bottom line......it is the Tech Inspectors job to put a safe race car on the track that meets the Class or ET bracket requirements. I have to sign the tech check list/card, once signed that cars safety becomes my legal responsibilty, I am telling all concerned that it is ok for that car to race for the day.

That was my thought that the tech inspector must not have checked it to thorough.

I'm told the pucker factor, on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 is the highest, it's an 11.

It would take a proctologist a week to get that seat out!
