Some of these are almost a year old. But it gives you a visual idea of what I've been doing, besides working, sleeping, and plowing snow. Bill.

What type of front end is that?
Is that injected motor going in it?

It is a weld in clip from RB's Obsolete that I got for father's day a couple of years ago. It uses mostly GM metric suspension parts and is supposed to lower the front end 3 to 5 inches without too many clearance problems. After I installed it and assembled the front end, I hung the front sheet metal on it just to look at. The next day, a customer brought his freshly restored 57 Nomad in for some engine tuning. I put them side by side. Mine was only a rolling frame with the front clip hung on it with no motor or even the body. It was a full 2 inches lower. That was only one of the many reasons (besides being a Fathers Day gift) that I used it.
Yes that injected motor is going in the 57, eventually. Once I save enough money to convert the manifold to EFI. Bill.

They are stock except for the 3 inches I added to them. In that picture, they weren't welded in yet. Only held in place with vice grips.

Thanks for the compliments:D Here is one more shot of the trunk floor I built. It is raised and the hump over the rear end raised and extended for 2 reasons. One was to get into good metal along the sides. The other reason is for 3 inch exhaust clearance over the rear end and plenty of room for a much larger gas tank.

I used an RB's front clip on my 55 and would like to chat with anyone else that has used one. Install was easy but I have increased turning radius. Any comments?:D

I am a long ways from being able to drive mine so I can't comment on the turning radius. How is your ride height? Do you have any tire clearance problems? I did notice how they changed the angle of the upper control arm mount. I was wondering how that would affect the steering.
Also, what headers did you use?
Sorry for all of the questions. You are the first person I know of that has an RB's front clip on the road. Thanks, Bill.
