Hood to Cowl Gap

I'm a new member and not quite sure this is the right place to post this question, but can anyone tell me what the proper hood to cowl gap on a 1957 Chevy Nomad is?

About a paint stick. :)
Book say .060 to .180 but I think .060 is pretty tight.
