I'm posting pics of my car....TH350 installed with engine side mounts, but without transmission crossmember. I'd like to have one installed. Looking at Classic Chevy's and Danchuk's but they look different. It looks like their actual trans mount locations are on opposite sides of the crossmember. CC's looks like actual mount location is too far back....can anyone shed some light on this? http://www.classicchevy.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=19%2D160&dept%5Fid=1849 http://www.danchuk.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=875A
attached are links to both CC and Danchuk product sites.
Thanks, want to be sure I pick the right one.

here's a good view of both x-members for convertibles at Classic Chevy. Are their pictures mixed up? Pictures make it look like actual mount for TH350 is further back than 700R4.

Since you are using side motor mounts than a rear crossmember support bracket is best in my opinion.

this link shows the type of side mounts I have. They attach to original frame horns (that's considered a side mount right?) http://www.classicchevy.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=19%2D01&dept%5Fid=1849
The product you showed from Danchuck is not for a convertible....(at least I don't think so...) The links in my first post are convertible cross members.

You are correct, Ace. What is needed here is the 875A which bolts in on the X-Member. (http://www.danchuk.com/ItemForm.aspx?Search=875A&Item=875A) It is for a TH-350 only.

nice little story here for my "gear-head buddies" (which is what my wife calls you guys now.)
I emailed Eckler's Classic Chevies and told them they had their Convertible Crossmember Part Numbers bass-ackward. #19-158 should be for TH200,
TH350 and TH700R4. and #19-160 should be for TH400 and 2004R....and that I had ordered a Danchuk crossmember since theirs looked wrong, and I didn't want to take a chance...
Joe Whitaker at CCI confirmed I was right, and is sending me a correct cross-member "on the house" for finding the mistake.
Nice People at CCI, eh?

I received the Danchuk crossmember today.......pretty nice....impressive even.
I'll wait for the CCI product, and decide which one really melts my butter. (which pretty much boils down to easiest to install based on drilling angle, etc..)
The other will be posted on Ebay....but I'm guessing demand isn't real high for these, so it might end up as a paper weight.
