I want to move the wiper motor off the firewall to under the dash. Is there a way to motorize the original transmission and cable? or has anybody used the Lucas style used in some cobra's?
thanx in advance

Phil i don`t know of a way to move it under the dash and keep the cable drive. Can i ask why keep the cable drive though? The arm drive will have less slack in it.

The cleanest and best engineered system by far is from RainGear.. which is sold through any/all the TriFive parts vendors or even Ebay. It's not a cable system, as you inquired about, it's much better, using solid bars and an optional delay switch. On top of that, it will clean up your firewall area by eliminating the UGLY stock wiper motor.

I saw a few aftermarket systems(about $400). it looks like they take up alot of space by the steering column. won't that be hard to deal with?

The system does take up some room (but not too much) behind the speedo area, however, it's very well designed, and works smooth and nice. I've not seen anything better for sure.

My set up is from Specialty Power Windows. It mounts under the dash behind the speaker grille or there abouts. I got the kit with the intermittent and two speeds. It runs a cable through tubing to turn the transmissions. Comes with everything but the washer jug and pump.
