Help with identifying bumper

What does this fit? It is suppose to fit my 55 rear center section. Not the same as I have. Can you help?

The first photo shows the new one, there is no lip of the bottom only 3 mounting holes for the bracket, mine has 5 holes and a lip at the bottom. The newer one is not as "tall" as the one on my car. :confused0006:

that would be my guess as Terry has already mentioned,that center piece in the first and last picture is an aftermarket bumper,and the bumper on the car is an original,i have the original rear bumper on my car yet and it has that lip on it.

I'll get some pictures of the entire bumper. It appears to be an old one rechromed. He purchased it as a 55 to put on his 2 door sedan and then decided to go with a Nomad center section. He sold it to me as a 55 as he believed it was. Someone mentioned about a aftermarket bumper. Are they different than the originals? Thanks for your help. Bryant

I work with aftermarket `55 Chevy bumpers everyday and that ain't one. I also work with rechrome bumpers. To me it looks like an earlier `50's rear center.

To all who responded to my question - THANKS. Still not sure as to what I have purchased. Not what I thought I was getting. Now to see if I can get my money back.
