I thought I struck gold. I got a rear-end from an '80 firebird with 3.08, posi, and discs. Does anyone know if I can just weld on new spring perches and go, or will I have to center the pinion to save on u-joints? Also, will welding on new perches require straightening the tubes?
I really love this site!!!

JUST SET THE NEW SPRING PEARCHES IN THE STOCK TRI FIVE WIDTH AND EVERY THING WILL LINE UP JUST FINE . WE USE THESE REAR END 'S ALL THE TIME. AS LONG AS YOU TAKE YOUR TIME CUTTING OFF AND GRINDING THE OLD PERCH'S AND KEEP THE HEAT DOWN TO MINIMUM AND TAKE YOUR TIME WELDING UP THE NEW ONE'S YOU SHOULD BE FINE . GOOD LUCK LARRY
