Yep, really miss that, it comes back on reruns often though. Funny how the Nomad morphed into a 4dr wagon when it got crushed but still made me mad when they did that.

I understand that they got a lot of complaints from people that thought that the wagon that they smashed was Jills 55 Nomad..:sign0020:
Of course there seem to be a lot of people that think that every wagon is a Nomad..
Also I'd forgotten how good Heidi looked...MMMMMMM:congrats:

It's ashame the show had to total that 55 2dr wagon with Nomad eyebrows. Back in the 70's these cars were a dime a dozen and were used in a lot of shows.

I know many hate to see that wagon go, but it's hollywood. And the one they crushed wasn't worth anything then. Hope the Nomad spears made it though.

A friend of mine said he hated the show - that it put down guys that do things for themselves. Thing is, to me, humor is really truly funny when it's about real things - and that was real things for guys like us.

And then there's Heidi.

The guy that can bring back TV like that can make a lot of money. Thing is, that's show would be too expensive to produce now compared to the others, so the TV bean counters wouldn't ever go for it. They had too many props and setups even if each one was cheap.

Now theres a show we all loved. It was great to have Tim with his "Old way" attitude and yet it became so funny when he got all the P.C. advise ballsed up. Poking fun at everyone makes for great commedy. At HotRods and classic cars and you have a great show.

Dave from what I remember didn't a lot of Tri Five clubs petition Tim Allen to rebuild the 55. Even I broke down and cried when it happened. I only hoped it was a cardboard cut out. Pete.:sign0020:

This is what happened to Tim's Nomad.

"Tim has also participated in many programs including Nickelodeon’s “Big Help-a-thon”, “Habitat for Humanity”, and most recently auctioned off his prized 1955 Chevy Nomad (featured on “Home Improvement”) on Ebay for The September 11th/Twin Towers Fund."
