distilled water

hey guys,i'm going to replace my son's copper radiator with an alluminum one.i know distilled water(maybe wetter water?)do i need to flush motor of old coolant and water?or is whats drained out good enough??coolant and water in old radiator very clean!! and any other suggestions?thanks!! brad
