hi my name is phillip and i just want to say hello. im new to this forum. 1 have a 56 210 4 door chevy that my dad parked in 1970 in a garage and since then everything is stuck. id like to get it rolling for now so it can move out into the sun .thats it.

whats stuck? everything -engine, tranny ,wheels you name it. tried to get tranny in neutral .stuck. thought that would help engine to turn . any ideas are welcome.

Well Phillip, I guess if it were me I would start with trying to get the thing in neutral. Is it a stick or automatic? Does the shift lever move at all? What I'm getting at is if the lever moves some freely and the trans isn't moving into neutral, it might be hung in two gears (stick shift only applies here). If that is the case, you need to jack it up (insert jack stand) and see if you can move the lever on the tranny. Usually moving one will get it. Wear in the column or bushings in the linkage will cause this to happen. If it is hung in two gears, nothing will move.
