Morning all,
Can some one tell me why Chevy left the wheelwell inner liner short (to the ext qtr panel) and laid a rubber strip to finish the fit?
This is on a 56 210 wagon, I just want to make sure I didn't overlook anything on why i shouldn't do it, before I fab up a full width inner liner and attach ext qtr panel to wheelwell. Pics to follow.

I wouldn't weld the outer wheelwell to the quarter, if that's what you're thinking. I think it could cause bucking problems. Put the rubber back in to make the seal to the quarter, IMO. That's what I'm working on right now.

Morning Chevynut,
Actually wasnt going to weld to qtr panel but use adhesive on a a "L" bracket and bolt the inner liner to it. Since this panel will need to be removed for access to a linear actuator and other mechinical items.
