Something about getting grey hair, you can't be safe enough. Sure beats high school when we would jack it up and slide under it and if we really wanted to be safe we would throw a cinder block under it!.... Someone watches out for the young and foolish. Now I don't want to tempt fate!!!

I just want an area where I can even jack my car up that high! :sign0020: Being 6'2" and having a bad back, that would be awesome for me. :blowtiedb:

Great idea Warren! Not cheap either I know. My lift is a MaxJax that only raises the car 48 inches and from what I have seen those stands are at least that height collapsed, correct?

Looks great Warren, you can see I've got pretty much the same lift in my shop. Couldn't do without it... easy on the ol'Back for an old guy... BDR...

I was given a four post car lift 8,000 lb cap. my garage is only 9ft high. Anyone ever raised or fabricated the inside so the lift can raise to full height without doing the entire roof ?
i only go up on my lift about 5 ft i then slide under car and lift using office chairs that lean back and roll. it is ten times easier on my back and i can do every thing i need

I do pretty much the same thing. My ceiling height is 10'-4" but I seldom raise the lift more than 48" above the floor. I bought a mechanic's chair on casters that I scoot around on, also a stool on casters that has an adjustable height seat. Wouldn't do it any other way.
