OK, thought I would share this will ya'll...

I have had this car about 3 years...it currently has a 56 265 passenger car engine (FB suffix) built to Corvette specifications (solid lifters). It has a single rochester 4GC carb.

Currently also has a Turbo 350 (car is original Powerglide car) but the TH350 was built for racing (didn't know that when I bought it) and it lugs the engine down too much.

I started out with a 57 Powerglide that I had laying around. That was OK, but the PG slipped (imagine that) when it shifted. Thats when I put the Th350 in it.

I just bought a rebuilt Buick Grand National 700R4 with a new TCI converter for the car. Yep, it bolts to the Chevy block.

I am also toying with the idea of puttting Muncie 4 speed that I also have laying around in the car. That may be more hassle than I am willing to get into at the moment.

I guess I'll decide when it comes time to put the transmission in it.

just a heads up. early glass bodies will degrade quickly when exposed to uv rays. without a top coat the glass will continue to cure and dry out. a coat of epoxy would protect it.

Start with asking yourself what you want to do with the car:

1. If it's the driving that excites you then resto-mod it with that in mind.
2. If it's value for the long term this car wants factory restoration.
3. If it's talking in the parkin' lot do something unique

It's all in what YOU want from the car and the experience.
