I drove a 1962 back in 1969 back and forth to college. It was wrecked 2 weeks before my wedding when a local cop waved me through a red light. I got "T-boned". I love the photos with the bolt on hard tops. I have a top put away for my 1960 but it needs a total restoration at a cost of about $5,000. It will have to stay in storage for a long time.

The good old days that is what it was when I was growing up. Later on had a Richfield station and had three people wait on the customer Checking everything under the hood , clean all glass and checked all four tires and gave out the blue chips stamps, only if it could have stayed that way. Oh yeh gas was 29 cents and lube was 2 bucks included washing all windows vaccum,paint the tires and check everything under the hood and underneath and washed. !!! hmmm

here's some from dads collection
the little kid in front is me.
the pic with the gasser 57 is actually 2 vettes, the lump to the left is dads 57 and the one one on the right is dads gasser project 57(i still have the engine stand on the right of the 2nd pic)
the orange 57 is the lump in the previous pic when he bought it in '62
the 61 with all the hardware is his buddy's after winning his class at the 63? nationals at US30 dragway

Keep em coming 57 2D,i hope you have an inexhaustable supply of pics.The pic of Valley Ford reminds me of a good buddy when we got out of the Air Force in 70'.He bought a new 1970 Ford Boss 302 Mustang and traded in a couple yrs. later for a family sedan.He later regetted it and never found another one again. I thought I recognized Tindles Car Lot.

Yes, that is Tindles' Specialty lot in Portland Oregon. Bob Tindles always had a large selection of Vette and Easy Jacks' always had TRI-5s. This was back in the 50s, 60's & 70's.

The Salesmen in both lots were friendly and always had time to show us Teenagers the Cars and take us for test drives.

The '32 in front of the lot is Bobs 32 A/A. He build this 32 into a quite famous Race & Show Car, "The Orange Crate".

Ok some vetts in my history.. as we can see my 55 chevy has always been a constant in my life. The 66 stingray I sold for $1300.00 to keep my $180.00 55 Chevy... The 68 L88 Phase 3 was a wild thing.. some of the best pipes I have ever seen on a street car...

My brother had a 66 Vette roadster back in the mid 70s.
Fun car. I got to drive it a few times.
I still have the engine chrome set, grille, front bumper and cloth top frame.
I just need a 66 Vette to put them on.:D
