Hello Room & fellow tri-five-ers... I wanted to extend my deepest thank you to all who helped take part in Ricks' dream (chevender) He will be missed by all.. it hurts to write this, as he is no longer with us.. he fought a good fight.. he was one of the only friends that my father had, that would actually treat us kids growing up with respect, and not the old children should be seen and not heard theory.. I always enjoyed going to shows with my father, and seeing Rick there.. he was always full of advice or ideas, especially when I was working on my chevelle.. my first car.. not sure if this is a good post to be posting.. but I feel its justified..thank you all again for your time, sweat, and energy to help build his miracle car..my father Bob was there as well.. its amazing how strong a car enthusiast is, when you meet all these people, willing to travel and donate time to make a man's last wish come true..
as rick(chevender) would say, "it's so easy a baby can do it"
Rest in peace Rick, enjoy that mighty garage in the sky:p3:

Lauren its hard to deal with the death of a life long friend, talking about them is a good way, feel free to jump on here and say things about Rick anytime. Most of us only got a quick glimpse of the man, but what we saw of him he was a great guy. You were so very lucky to have him in your life and I hope you are able to always remember the fun times you had with him in your life.

My best friend BUTCH, died of cancer about 10 years ago. We went everywhere & did everything together, worked, drank, partied & raced. Every time I start my 57 I think of him, he may be gone but never forgotten!

There are many here that will always remember RICK the same way! His last wish will be talked about for years almost like a legend!

:bowtieb: may it live forever!!!

Did I meet your Dad at Rick's, Lauren? There were so many people in and out during that time I can't remember everyone.
I left that Saturday morning, so if he came after that, well, I missed him.

Rick left a lasting impression on me as well. Though I was only there a week I feel like I've known him all my life.
I was sorry I didn't get to hear him play, but the youtube videos were great.
But they also remind me of all the things I missed with him.

I've been in nearly daily contact with Dawn since I left, so I felt the pains, the ups and downs and the agonizing sense of loss as well.
I've been trying to keep everyone updated on arrangements over on the other two threads.

The page Dawn set up with all the pics are great too. Are you in any of them?
