After a couple years of building on a table on the back porch or kitchen table Ive got my model building room back, the room is in the basement and 3 years ago we had a power failure and my battery back up sump pump failed, well big mistake on my part I let a damage recovery outfit go in and clean up (I would never use them or their green trucks again) they cut the lower 2 foot off the walls, ripped my moisture barrier out and everything, anyway due to my cancer treatment and recovery was unable to do anything with it, the last couple of months since I am feeling better Ive been able to redo it (the sump pump issues have been resolved) Now I just have to move the building bench back in and get going

Looks spacious now but that 12' x 8' will fill up fast once I start moving stuff back in

Nice room. It is ironic that I woke up in November and went downstairs to 3 inches of water in the basement. I didn't have a choice about calling in the professionals to suck out and dry the basement because they removed over 400 gallons of water. My church's insurance did pay almost $6,000 to do that, but there is no way that I could have. We are currently in the repair stage and when done, I will have my model desk up and going too. I'm glad you got yours going and enjoy it.

To me these are places in our houses that make us feel good. Winch it is so easy to fill up a room without even knowing it, that is called buying stuff. I buy stuff. Pastor Bubba, I'm glad to see you're back to normal after the water. I also have a place like that, my model town with it's old model cars on my train table.

:congrats: on getting your room back and the modeling, hope all goes well with your health, I have been building models for years and had to move some of them outside the room started to fill up:sign0020:, got my son started building them and hes so good hes put mine to shame, he uses aluminum foil as chrome and old coke cans, he cuts them up for dashes and radiator surports, concoles on 55 Chevys. We were in building nascars models and had Dale Earnhardt sign one in the 90s and gave him one that my son built at Darlington one year, that made my sons day. Keep enjoying your hobby. Later Bill :tu:tu
