Even though I've only had this car less than a year, I've decided to sell. An opportunity to buy a some property from a family friend has posed it's self....a new project!

1955 Chevy Bel Air: 4 doors, new 283 V-8 with 700r4 trans. New brakes, new exhaust, new radiator, new trans cooling lines, rebuilt power steering pump (old generator type), new power steering slave cylinder, new tires, HEI distributor and coil, edelbrock performer intake, 500 cfm Carter AFB (have a Holley 600 included), new drive shaft and u-joints.

Lots of extra parts (new): NOS rear fender spears, stainless visors for all windows, 6 cylinder motor mounts, rebuild generator and voltage regulator... I have the original matching 6 cylinder and power glide for a little extra if you are interested.

The car is in very good original condition. Having said that, windshield has a crack, as does the driver's door glass. It needs the front and rear window rubber seals, and new paint.

Not sure what to ask for it. Lets just say I want to sell it for a fair price. Cheap enough to move it along, but enough to feel good about it. $8000??

Let me know if this is in the ball park.

thanks, Erik

Erik, sad to see that you are going to sell the 55. :anim_25: on the sale and your plans for the future. Hopefully you will end up with another Tri Five in the near future.

Looks to be in pretty good shape. The sun visor and bumper tips are "helps" I would think. :anim_25:

Thanks for the input fellas. It's not perfect, but for the price, the next guy has room to do more improvements (paint, etc...).

I'll get it up on ebay with better pics this weekend.

If you saw the building I'm selling the car for...you'd probably beg me to keep the car and let the deal go. It's like one of those cars you see in the field and the owner says, "just some gas, new engine, tires, seats, and hood...and yer ready for a show". However, it is a great location and we are thinking of making it into a gallery for fine woodworking and art....and possibly a little space in the back for vintage car work....??
