Yes I have have installed 1 in my 55. It is the one that is so easy your wife can install it on the weekend. My wife is really good with tools and it would of speeded up the install alot it took me one month to do it. I have not driven my car yet still putting the engine in maybe if my wife did it, it would speed that up to. All kidding aside it wasn't that bad nothing is painted so thats takes awhile your stock column won't work without a lot of work so I went with a ididit and was very happy with it. The biggest problem and biggest pain was the cross member that holds the rack did not fit. It has 2 brackets one on each side that the angle was different than my frame they did send me out a new one but it was the same. I cut them off rewelded them back on. Would I do it again yes other than the cross member everthing fit right the company was easy to work with. All the frames are a little different so maybe it was my frame who knows. The last thing you will find the lower a arm sit at a very flat profile looks odd to me. I have not heard on one person that didn't like how it rides.........Bad

Owe,

I heard a former CTer "Patrick Rogers" is now a member here. He also has the Meyer's kit on his '57 nomad and loves it. You could send him a PM. Good luck.

Webfoot55 also has the Meyer IFS and he speaks highly of it. I'm in the middle of installing the Dutchman IFS setup, pretty smooth so far. Not finished yet, so I can't say how it rides.....

I have the IFS set up and it seems to ride a lot better.
Turning radius suffers alittle.
Directions could have been better, but still was an easy install.
Needed a few more tools than I had, Hex Headed socket sets
in metric, nothing that couldn't be had. They did send me a
defective steering rack. I didn't find that out until 4 months later
when I got to drive it and the hard lines on the rack were broken.
Fluid all over the place. 1 call and I had a new one on the way.
Not even a question.
I went this route because I wanted everything to work together.
Steering, lower the front end, disc brakes, rotors. This way it was
a matched set install. Everything works together. I got their
rag joints and Double 'D' shaft and it matched right up to the
Ididt column. There has been some dicussion about the QA1
coil over shocks and their adjustability.
I had horrible bump steer and lane shifting and lane changing at higher
speed and this corrected it. Almost too much, because the smallest
adjustment to the steering wheel and your turning, big difference.
Very happy so far.

As Paul said I have the Meyer IFS unit, i've been running it for several yrs
now and have no regrets, I did have a bottoming out problem early on but
JM swapped out the springs and cured that problem, I would go the extra
$$ and get the adjustable coil overs, ( on my want list )
the ride is more like a sports car, a little choppy but not unacceptable.
drives and handles great,
I didn't have any parts that didn't bolt right up as advertised, I went with
a FR column and a Lokar shift linkage.
for those of us that don't have C-nut's fabrication skills it's a good alternative.:tu

Owe, congrats on getting your Chrismas present a few days early. :D

That welding is beautiful. I don't know how they do that so consistently, and get it so smooth. I have practiced TIG welding for a while, and I can make good welds but not nearly that pretty. I'd love to sit and watch someone do that for a while. :)
