SGT Dean Shaffer

My friend and buddy, SGT Dean Shaffer,23 yrs old, from Pekin, Illinois, died 19 April 2012 in a UH-60 Blackhawk crash in Afganistan along with 3 other crew members: CW2 Nick Johnson, CW2 Don Viray and SGT Chris Workman while flying support for another Medivac helicopter. They were taken too soon. God rest their souls. Dean is the one giving his trademark "thumbs up" sign, with me sitting to his right on our way back home from Iraq in 2010. And one more with my arm around him after an 8 hr combat mission. He will be sorely missed. Love you Brother! Cya in heaven. :p3::gba::blowtiedb:

Sorry to hear of this. It's sad to hear of any of our comrads making the ultimate sacrifice.
