i bought a 57 con back in1967drove it till 1970 still have it. spent afew years playing with uncle sam an finding a wife. tore apart in 85 then 3kids and 3 houses came 1st. now trying to put back together.loss some brain cells and some paperwork. when i tore apart icut fire wall forward and fromback of doors back needed to fix frame and floor .new floor and braces installed trying to line up firewall and back section with doors and rocker panels cannot get doors to line up right. looking for info on measurements on inside of car like dis.from door to door front and back donot know if firewall or the back section bowed out of shape thanks retsof checked library and tried to get info elsewhere

That has happened to lots of us, but sooner or later we all get "the fever" again. :shakehands:

I don't think measurements are really going to do anything for you to be honest. You have to line up your parts.... You need the door opening to fit your door, you need the top to actually touch the windshield frame, etc. You are in the same spot I found myself in, I had to bring mine to someone to unscrew what I did.

The challenge you are finding out, is how to keep everything from moving and stay in place, while you try to reconstruct. The above turnbuckle arrangement is one way to do it.

If you have some extra coin, I'd consider a new tub. Will save you alot of frustration, and you'll have a "straight" base to work from. Call these guys and see what they charge for one. They're also not the only vendor to offer these...
