difference between 1/2 ton and 1 ton bodies

I am looking at a 1 ton flatbed truck to buy. I will be putting it on a new frame and street rodding it out and wanted to know if there was any difference between a 1/2 ton body and a 1 ton body???

I am pretty sure the cabs are the same but I'll check my books. The 1 1/2 tons models are bigger, but look the same from a distance. I'll let you know.

Just found my assembly manual and it shows things like doors, hinges, dash etc are the same for models 3000 4000 and 5000. That covers you thru the 1-ton. A lot of little parts are the same for 3000 and 4000 but different for 5000. Find out what model you are looking at and give me some specifics and I'll look it up for you.
