Hi all from downunder
Does any one know if they make a kit for the 1957 210 more door sedan
I wish to find one so i can replicate my ideas on what my real full size car will look like when completed.
Ideally i would like an ertle, Monogram,Revell etc 1/25th scale type kit.
This way it will be a small price to pay for my vision without having to pay huge $$$$ on my project restoration and find my ideas on colors dont work.
Thanks in advance David

Hi David
You want a resin 4 door body. I think R & R resin did a 4 door 210, that you would use with a AMT / ERTL 2 door kit. This will be the easiest way to make your 1;1 4 door.
I've got 1 in my stash, try & post some pics for you.

When I was looking for colours for my 1;1, I narrowed it down to a few & sprayed them onto scrap model bodys. Lot chaper than the real thing !
Hope this helps.

Thanks for link Steve.
Found they list what i am looking for and emailed them
Unfortunatly they emailed back and said they are out of stock and will be for some time so
I intend to build a 57 2 door sedan i found in the shop locally ( Yes a sedan)
Most are pillar less and i found one with pillars :)
I intend to maybe molest the 2 door sedan and make it a 4 door
Now this is gonna get interesting ?
I intend to maybe have all doors open, Move centre pillar, shorten front doors,Create rear doors and add dog leg pillar.
Dang gonna be more work than my 1 : 1 hehehe :sign0020:
anyhoo thanks again for link

Thats a great kit David, better than the MPC flip front sedan we had to make do with years back. Modelhaus do a 4 door resin for your Revell kit, but its a 150.

Sounds like your gonna be busy with 1;25 & 1;1 lol. Keep us all informed though.

Dang very familier
That is one sweet ride and congrats to the owner
I hope mine to be a few shade darker than the Siver/grey or gunmetal however not as dark as charcole with a Pearle white roof
Blacks/greys/chrome and white for interior trim is the general consensis of my thoughts at the moment

In the current issue of Australian Street Rodding (issue #266) there is an article on 55-57 models built by Kirk Hamilton from the Gold Coast. Amongst them is a 56 4 door 210 sedan that he built from a 2 door kit. The column is run by Chris Dansie and his contact details are in the magazine - he might be able to put you in touch with Kirk.

Hi mouse,
After reading this thread about you trying ideas on a model first, I have ordered both the Revell 150 and the more-door from Modelhaus.
Be aware the postage for Modelhaus may take over a month to get to Aus. I'm still waiting on mine, but am in no rush.
Only thing Im looking for now is some Dodge Polara Hubcaps in the same scale.
Any recommendations?

Gidday, Only thoughts i have that come to mind is to purchase a couple of jet planes and use the engine components to make the hubcaps, not sure of your skill set and not sure if you want to go that route could turn expensive.
I do know of a model spare parts company in the U.K. that has most parts i need majority of the time, I have sent an email to him to see if he does these parts and at what cost.
Should hear back in about a week or so ( he is slow to respond :) I will let you know the outcome
Just some food for thought.
I know of a model shop in the Burleigh/ Varcity lakes area ( If i recall near the Small theme park that had the Vometron and Slingshot south of Surfers Pardise) That was nearly 4 years ago now and may not be there anymore, however he did have some unusual parts in his spare parts bins
Hope this helps ( Sorry can`t for the life of me remember the name of the shop )
