My door hinges are worn and floppy. Since I have a 57 4 door hardtop, you can't find rebuilt or new hinges. Used hinges- if you can find them are also worn. The hinge pins I bought don't fit.
I was able to find a spacer in my garage and drill out the ID to use a shouldered bolt. The holes in the hinge were drilled out to the OD of the bolt.
The whole thing is Mickey Mouse.
Any suggestions?

You should be able to find some good used rear door hinges, as some of them were seldom used, if they don't use the same pins and bushings as the front doors. I thought they did. The front door hinges are easily rebuilt, unless the detent springs are broken. The vendors have the pins and bushings. .....http://www.danchuk.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=1111

You wouldn`t think that they would have different hinge bolts for different models. Are the new bushings the correct size?

John:I'm guessing you are referring to not being able to "fix" the rear door hinges? I looked them up and unfortunately the sport sedan and the sedan hinges are different... so you'll need to find good HT hinges or a source for rebuild kits.Just a suggestion but if re-pops pins are not available, perhaps a machine shop could make some for you? good luck

Thanks for the suggestions.
I should have been a little more specific. It's the rear door hinges that are bad. I located some used ones and he had to cut them out of the door and then ran into trouble shipping them.
I guess a machine shop is an option. I was thinking maybe just an internet site that sell all sorts of bushings.

The Dorman catalog has a list of hinge pin bushings and gives their size and shape. We found some for an early Corvette that was a better fit than the ones the Corvette vendor sold. ...... http://www.dormanproducts.com/c-271-door-hinge-parts.aspx?pagenum=4 There's several pages of pins and bushings.
