Under the 1957 chevy floor where the drive shaft tunnel is, there is two through by through bolt holes. What are they for, I am restoring thr original motor and trans and these holes look important. They are on each side of the tunnel and look like holes for muffler hangers but are to close together. They are right where the tunnel starts to go to the rear end.

Ronald it sounds like you are describing the mounting holes for the e-brake brackets. If so there should be 2 sets, one on each side of the tunnel. Terry.

That is what the holes look like and I am sure your right, however, I don't have it, I have the cable leading up to it and the two off some rear end they replaced the original with, when they put there big block in it. Gee wish they hadn't done that, maybe Danchuck or someone had one. I have a sixty seven PU maybe there is one on it.
Thanks

Ron if its the brackets you are missing , they will have to come off of a 1955,56 or57. Terry.
