605 box

I have just made the conversion on a 605 box and notice the box seems a little tight when rotating by hand. (no power and no steering wheel,just rotating column shaft by hand), is this normal or should it turn easy by hand? I kinda think that when the steering wheel is on and theres power to it it should be ok or do you think thats just wishful thinking? I know many of you have made this conversion so I figure somebody must have had a similar experience. Thanx, Gary.

There should be a very slight tight spot when moving any steering box through center - but it should not feel "notchy".

If your tightness is not at center, you need to get to work at aligning the column to the box.

turning them by hand is rather difficult but once hooked up they work fine, as long as you followed the instructions during building it should work fine.
