Hi! All Tri5 fellow fanatics. A little background on my life long goal to do a modified '56 Belair 2dr sedan. Since I was 17 in 1967 my ultimate dream and goal was to own and do a modified '56 Belair 2dr sedan. Well it took me 32 years to meet that dream. I started seriously looking online in August 1999. I joined a local Classic Chevy car club while searching for my prize. Found my car November 1999 in Alabama without a picture in the sale ad. Called the owner who was gracious enough to send a set of pictures and told me of all the work done to the car since he owned it. We made a deal with the stipulation, if the car was not what was pictured or listed as I could cancel. Lee was a good Southern Gentlemen who wouldn't even accept a down payment. My best friend who used to own and race '55-'56 Chevy's and I went down with his trailer to complete the deal. The car was exactly as Lee promised it to be. Brought her home to my friend's 4 car heated garage for it's first Western,NY winter. Lee had updated the '56 in 1991-1993 with all the upgrade and conversions at that time. Well since I wanted to make her my own the wheels started turning. Orders from Summit Racing , Jegs, Vintage Air, Borla exhaust, Painless wiring, March Performance Serpentine pulley system, Perma-cool electric fan, Edelbrock,Griffin aluminum radiator, Taylor wires, K&N air filter, Cragar wheels, Goodyear tires and 350 sbc engine overhaul. I sold all the parts removed at swap meets to offset my new parts cost. Maiden voyage to first car cruise on August 5, 2000. Each year after changed a few more things. Next change was Wilwood Racing front brake conversion with Dual side by side manual master cylinder system and brake pedal, all new brake lines with Braided stainless front and rear hoses. The next winter project was Two piece custom Billet and powder coated valve covers with matching air cleaner made by a local shop and Demon Carb. Following winter project my own Power Rack and Pinion conversion and full length Hooker ceramic coated headers. I have her done and she's my summer crusin dream car. I'll be adding more pictures in the future. I have to thank all my friends and car club buds who helped me achieve my dream.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v18/rockbiter/lugias_9172007.jpg
