Default 57 chevy convertible with batwings

Hey guys thought you might have a suggestion on my concern. Recently purchased a really pristine 57 convertible which had the batwing configuration, Duntov cam, heads and solid lifters fom another 57 which made up the factoru 270 hp. I also have the intake and everything to return this car to the power pak configurantion. However in checking the engine pad I noticed this motor was originally mated to a turboglide and now has a powerglide. Do you think I should acqire a correct period turboglide and set aside to compleatly return this car to original if some one wished to or does it even matter? Look forward to your input. Has your gear select indicator also changed to suit the powerglide. Personally wether you have a turboglide or powerglide it wouldnt make much difference.

Gear selecter shows P, N, D, L, R. Assume this is the old powerglide setup Thanks for your post. David

I'll assume that's PRNDL? Hate to drop it all the way down, only to go backwards!

Yep, Powerglide configuration.
Turboglide had either HR or GR. Hill retard or grade retard.
I have a turboglide with convertor if you need a core, because I don't know the condition of it. I have the dash cluster gear indicator plastic piece too.

Many turboglides went back to the dealer and powerglides were installed as a warranty fix.

Your car is worth more as a 2x4 if that matters, correct engine code or not. Do you have the 997 heads too?
